Release Notes - v0.207.5

Title: Improve era validation and protocol compatibility

Version: v0.207.5

This release improves validation and protocol compatibility across the Plutus, Conway, Dijkstra, Shelley to Babbage, and Byron eras.

  • Improved Plutus validation with era specific auxiliary data decoding, embedded native and Plutus script checks, protocol version specific TxInfo and certificate translation, Plutus V3 reference input checks for protocol version 11 and later, and corrected Babbage, Conway, and Dijkstra rules.
  • Strengthened Conway and Dijkstra CBOR and transaction validation, gated redeemer tags by era, and validated ordered Dijkstra nested transactions while threading state between them.
  • Tightened auxiliary data and native script decoding by validating metadata labels, script constructors, key hash widths, trailing data, and Plutus well formedness.
  • Added cryptographic validation for Dijkstra Leios certificates and introduced CIP-0140 Peras draft CBOR types with strict VoteCert decoding.
  • Corrected certificate deposit and refund accounting across eras using authoritative protocol and ledger state.
  • Expanded regression coverage for certificates involving Conway committee members who had already resigned.
  • Validated classic Shelley to Babbage protocol parameter update authorization, epoch windows, domains, versions, and cost models; made Conway and Dijkstra zero constraints depend on protocol version.
  • Aligned Byron consensus and wire semantics with configurable epoch length slot conversion, canonical header signing bytes, opaque EBB proofs, canonical block body hashing, safer CBOR offset extraction, and consumer configuration plumbing.
